There isn’t any respawning in the main dungeon areas which have pre-designed combat encounters, but when you rest while traveling between areas there are chances for random encounters. Like BG3’s EA, Solasta’s EA is only the first act of the game (roughly 10-12 hours), and is apparently doesn’t have any of the planned side quests in yet, so if DOS2’s linearity bothered you, Solasta is currently 100% linear.

Thank you for reading my post, and all suggestions are welcome!Ĭan at least contribute that while Solasta actually released into EA second, it’s almost certain to get released as a full game first simply because it’s much smaller in scope (the dev team says they want to release in 4-6 months, while Larian says they plan for EA to be “at least” a year - almost certain to be longer since the pandemic is slowing everyone down and Belgium is actually going into shut down again). One last note, I'd much more prefer to play in a setting that has respawn/random spawning and exploration, though I'm still okay with playing with a static lineup (The suggested games do not have to be TB or RTS, but still would need character progression/skills) I have DOS II on my PS4, but I'm not exactly a fan of how linear it is.īG3 is unfinished, and I'd prefer not to play an unfinished story, especially if it is engaging. (Note) I have Pathfinder: Kingmaker and I am enjoying it so far, but I want to add another game to my list to play. Does anyone have any personal insight as to how fun/engrossing this game is before I decide to make a choice? I try not to watch too many gameplay trailers or videos, but I have this eerie feeling I may be disappointed because this game is still considered early access. I love the fact that you can actually create your own party and that it is D&D based.

I had been wondering what CRPG I may get next and this game sort of caught my attention. Hey guys, I'm new to reddit and this is my first post.
